Witnessing his child, grandchild and great grandchildren risk life and limb inspires Brea, the Guardian of Travel, to make right the wrongdoing of his fallen brethren. In order to do so he feels obligated to lead the remaining members of his brethren along the right path. So he seeks out Rayah, his creator, to gain full access to his ability to travel the cosmos. Rayah is offended by the request yet says nothing. Brea is sent to a house in the middle of a quiet neighborhood.
He arrives dressed in his guardian attire and knocks on the door. An unassuming gentleman opens the door and excitedly invites Brea inside. He offers to prepare him a beverage and a quality meal. Brea declines. The gentleman accepts Brea has arrived to get straight to business. He drops to one knee before Brea, prays then waits for the inevitable. But nothing happens. The gentleman looks up and asks Brea why he torments him with such procrastination. Brea requests an explanation. The gentleman responds in a confused manner that he prayed for his death because he couldn’t do it to himself. Brea realizes his appearance may have given the wrong message. He clarifies his arrival is only to gain wisdom. When the gentleman realizes Brea isn’t going to kill him he feels obligated to provoke the angelic looking character.
He rises to his feet, walks to his kitchen then runs at Brea from a blind spot. Brea is caught off guard and gets stabbed in the eye. He kills the gentleman in self-defense. He pulls the knife out of his face and holds his bleeding eye in shock. As a guardian, he is sure a simple metal should not be able to penetrate his body. But it did. And he feels the pain as he drops to a knee. Suddenly, he finds himself floating all alone in outer space. Rayah appears before him a few minutes later. Brea requests an explanation but Rayah only reminds Brea of all he had been gifted as a guardian yet he asks for more tools to do what is needed to lead his brethren in the right direction. He mocks Brea’s possession of two eyes and the lack of wisdom to see what is right in front of him. Brea is not offended. Rayah then asks Brea if he still seeks more knowledge indicating it could cost Brea his other eye or even worse.
Brea stops panting and takes his hand off his bleeding eye socket. He looks directly at Rayah with one functioning eye and says, yes. Rayah realizes at that moment Brea is true and unleashes the full potential of the guardian’s gift of travel. Brea is suddenly fully aware of the map of the Unworthy Cosmos (UC). Rayah blesses Brea’s journey through the stars and sends him off with an offer to heal his wound. Brea declines. His wound is a reminder of his loss of a blind mind in exchange for the opportunity to become the wise leader he needs to be for his brethren. Brea enthusiastically travels the cosmos only to find similar grief-stricken societies. He also finds gifted beings that can help those grief-stricken societies. After becoming aware of a specific threat he can’t walk away from, he seeks out and invites a Wizard, Munchgalumptagan and an Angel to unite in order to overcome a Witch possessed by a demon tick.
He temporarily abandons his personal quest when all three accept. But in the end the Wizard returns in sorrow. Self-obligated to correct this failure, he seeks out King Hudson. A Rezandrian, who happens to be his nephew with an inherited gift. He takes him to retrieve a weapon powerful enough to defeat the Witch. He unites the King with the Wizard. Their preparation is long and the journey is far but the quest remains the same. The King eventually emerges with the Munchgalumptagan and the Witch who happened to be a victim all along. Their quest draws the attention of a heavenly presence that redirects Brea’s original intent for them. Upon the further success of the trio obligated to make right the Witch’s wrongs, Brea is gifted with insight by the heavenly presence. He is made aware of a looming war between the forces of darkness and light.
With a new-found sense of purpose, which broadens his awareness, he refocuses his path. Instead of continuing to use his gift for personal desires, he embraces the chance to provide aid to those unable to supply it for themselves. As he shoots through the UC he only lives to use his gift of travel to unite groups of gifted beings with the planets that can benefit from their union. Unfortunately, he comes to realize he is only one being with many planets in need of many more gifted heroes. And a foe by the name of Brogus, the bringer of death, haunts his conscience every moment waisted. Luckily, a war of two planets results in his ability to establish a home for his recruits to become heroes.
