The Horizon The sun set on my adventure in Spain. My full lips curled into a wide smile. I was free of some strange experiences, A moment that left me so beguiled. I turned my gaze towards the horizon, Opening my eyes to new perspectives. I felt liberated from sadness in the past. I took respite from all the introspective. Immersed in the calm of the scenery, In the sheer harmony of water and land. One day I hoped I would live like this, In that peace from which all life began.

About the Book
The Horizon is a collection of narrative poetry. They begin with the author’s experiences in Madrid and London. These lead to her spiritual awakening and growing recognition of God.
About the Author
A.O. Odimayo is a British Nigerian poet from Surrey. After an idyllic childhood spent in the countryside, she moved to London to attend university. She attained her degree in Hispanic studies in 2003. Following the completion of her studies, she moved to Madrid for a year to improve her Spanish. After returning to the United Kingdom, she pursued a career as a teacher of English to speakers of other languages.
