About the Book

This book attempts to boost self-confidence in young children through the story of Percy the Peacock. Percy is a peacock who is the best dancer at his school. As his performance at the talent show approaches Percy begins to worry about what others would think about him and his performance. The anxiety is so intense that he freezes on stage and considers turning away without performing his routine. He eventually hears the whispered advice of the kid who was everywhere all at once. This awakens his confidence and a new wisdom in him to believe in himself. He then goes on to perform his routine with joy and to a standing ovation.

About the Author

Anu Prakash is an Indian American with a Master’s Degree in Marketing Research. Her lifelong passion for spirituality and yoga led her to authoring children’s books. Through her books she aims to empower children to face challenges that they encounter in their everyday lives with faith and belief in themselves. She lives in Flower Mound Texas with her 2 sons Yash and Sid.
