Something Must Be Broken

For years I struggled within myself, trying to find this “peace that surpasses all understanding.” This life that promised “joy unspeakable and full of glory”. A life of abundance, blessings and real love. For years I thought I knew God but all I found was struggles, pain, frustration, depression, disappointments and conditional love. Finally, I realized what I knew about God came from others belief system and it just wasn’t working for me. I had nowhere else to go (so I thought), but when one night in my despair, and my hopelessness… I cried out to God “If you are real, I want to KNOW YOU!” And at that moment I found myself laying in the Presence of God and I became engulfed in His love, my mask came off and my walls crumbled in a moment of transparency and vulnerability. God answered me, He said, “Forget all you think you know about me and I will show you WHO I AM.” More importantly I realized if God has a Presence, He could be known, experienced and touched…and He touched me that night and I will never forget it. It was at that moment I opened my heart, and cleared my mind and my journey changed course
