By the end of 2018, it was becoming readily apparent to me, but also to those to whom I'm closest, that all was not right in my world. I was struggling with exhaustion as a result of insomnia. I suffered from anxiety and was, by all accounts, depressed. To make matters worse, I was becoming incontinent. Particularly when one has a "to-do" list a mile long and just wants to check off one more item before relieving oneself; or laughing so hard that, well, I leak. I certainly didn't believe anything I was experiencing was neurological; I was far too healthy for that. That said, I felt entirely unbalanced, which was hard to admit, seeing that, as a yoga instructor, and a huge fan of kayaking, I had made my entire life about finding balance. There were times I thought I was becoming unhinged. I am certain that my husband did too. This book is an openly vulnerable accounting of my journey back to health, from being in utter denial to taking full accountability.

About the Book
Diagnosed in late February 2019 with terminal brain cancer, Maureen was given as little as four months to live. Against the odds, her healing continued through weeks and then months of traditional and integrative healing practices. About the Author
Born in New Brunswick, Maureen made her second home in Yellowknife, NWT where she spent 28 years teaching at a local high school. Her passion for Kundalini yoga offered connections around the world. Maureen’s spirituality and strong beliefs in integrative energetic healing led her through a miraculous journey. Maureen made her final transition on October 5, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Kirsten Tonge is Maureen’s identical twin, a lawyer living in Abbotsford, British Columbia. It was a gift of love to be able to assist with completing this book on Maureen’s behalf.
