Wake Up Your Fairy Grandmother Within!

Y our fairy grandmother within will appear when you are ready. You are probably moving on in life with a few gray hairs; that is, if you don’t color them. That’s okay too. Your fairy grandmother keeps you young at heart. You get to choose how the outside looks! You may have fulfilled your life plan or purpose, or not. Did you get to finish college or give it up to raise a family? Did your dream career find fulfillment? Did you take that longed-for adventure? Did your marriage or your children disappoint you? You may have wanted more and settled for less, but now those things don’t matter. Savor them or let them go. Whatever makes you happy. Your fairy grandmother wants you to be happy. You matter! You may have known your fairy grandmother as a child but don’t remember her now. Having grown older, you have survived many years, possibly a few bad ones along with the good. You may have discovered a bad egg or two in your carton. Your heart may have suffered several cracks or even been broken as loved ones, friends, or special pets found their wings, and you weren’t ready to let them go. You may still carry that grief. You are never too old to be young at heart. You are aged to perfection! You can now claim your own fairy grandmother. She is the spirit within every person that seeks to spark joy. That spirit carries special medicine to transform grief, give hope, and stir healing. Your fairy grandmother may be sleeping, waiting for your nudge, or knocking at your heart’s door. She may look like a special loved one or your grandmother. She may be a heavenly vision with wings and a magic wand. She may be a revelation or even look like a whimsical cartoon character. What? You don’t believe me? You think that’s just for others, not for you? “I don’t have a spirit of joy inside me,” you say. “If I did, it dried up long ago.” Don’t believe it! That’s just the bad egg talking. The spirit of joy—your fairy grandmother within—is enchanted. She radiates eternal light. You may not have the eyes to see, but trust me. Your fairy grandmother is like a star, but as with a star, you don’t always see her. She’s there. You’ll see her when you least expect it.
