About the Book

I was six when I first said I want “it” too! My families “it” was leukemia. Has your family been affected by an “it” too? An illness, trauma, or disease? There are no character names to bond with throughout this story. It is so you can add your experience into the character/s that work for your “it.” This book explores feelings and creates conversations to support the entire family who are dealing with an “it.” I wish you all well in loving and supporting one another through your “it.”

About the Author

I was not quite 6 when my brother was diagnosed with Leukaemia. We lived 200+km's from the children's hospital where he received treatment. I found this experience difficult and felt like I had to care for my little sister too, especially when mum and dad were at the hospital. It was made harder as we come from a family of sweep it under the rug, don't say anything, you might upset someone type of family, We bottle everything up, like to have feelings is shameful, or too painful. I wish i had someone i could've talked to. My purpose is to help others to speak up about their thoughts and feelings. I'm now a nurse (geriatric nurse, I prefer to work in nursing homes, with the elderly who share their stories and wisdom). I also am a Wellness Advocate with an essential oil company. I love empowering people to care for themselves, their families (pets too) and clean naturally. I have developed an app (almost in the app stores, will be b4 this book is published) "Call Me" helping people in this busy world stay connected.
