Divine Messages of Light

I know that within every individual, there is a great deal of resistance toward the good. Though you might have this resistance, the good can still be yours. Of course, you may think to yourself that you are willing and ready to accept all the measures of life, but you are not, for you have made your present circumstances your reality. You believe that you have your own valid reasons why you have accepted your present circumstances and made them your reality, and so, your present circumstances have become your goal and your achievement. This is why you sit in disbelief when you are told, “Lo, just beyond the crest of this great hill, there lies a wondrous home of Light for you, and there is all the abundance, and there are great and wondrous fields of life, and they will all be waiting for you.” You have become like an individual who, day after day, picks up a rock and puts it in a satchel upon his back. As he adds each rock, the satchel slowly grows heavier and heavier. It increasingly burdens the man until one day, it is just too heavy to carry anymore. It is only then that he is aware of what he has needlessly done to himself. And so, he finally throws down the satchel of rocks, freeing himself from the heavy weight of his burdens. There are many of these rocks which you have willingly accepted. For example, there is the “rock of self-condemnation,” caused by your inability to improve certain harmful or unwanted conditions within your life. Because you had mistakenly condemned yourself for failing to improve those negative conditions, your feelings of guilt and inadequacy then caused further negative thought patterns within your mind. Now, at some point, you might have picked up such a rock of doubt and placed it in the satchel upon your back. Then on a different occasion, you might have placed another rock of doubt in your satchel because you did something that you thought would turn out well, but it did not turn out well. On some other day, maybe you felt offended when a particular value that you hold within yourself was not valued in the same way by another person. Because that person did not accept your value, you were hurt, and so, you added yet another rock, that being the “rock of unforgivingness.” Day after day, as you struggle to carry the load upon your back, the burden becomes so heavy that you are constantly tired, weary, and indeed beaten down. Now, if you have such rocks, Beloveds, it is advisable that you identify them and discard them so you can realize the Freedom of your own inner Light.
