SOMEONE ASKED ME why I chose to call this book Wild Ride to Bliss. I chose this title because we are all untamed and free in our nature. Rules, confines created by opinions and judgments, socializations, religious condemnation, and disconnect from our Inner Beings keep us ignorantly caged. It takes great courage to set forth on the journey toward truth. For most people, this means breaking free from the structures and beliefs that once held them prisoners in suffering. I’ve been seeking my whole life to find this bliss and peace. When I finally stopped seeking, and instead allowed myself to be, my being emerged like a rising sun within me. The wild that I experience is no longer reckless but is now quietly free and simply blissful. The ride is the process of becoming, the unfolding of my true self.
Human suffering is the cornerstone for all discord. This suffering is birthed because of disconnection with our inner divine self and the inability to be present in the now. This suffering is made of fear, anxiety, anger, feelings of shame, and mistrust. It creates a skewed perspective of one’s own self and of the world around us. We must heal this suffering by learning to connect to the divine within, which I call my Inner Being. In this connection, we can easily become present in the now.
IT IS OUR natural birthright to be deliberate creators and powerful manifesters. Once we truly understand how to be happy, abundant, and free simply by being, not based on outcome, circumstance, or another person, then we are in absolute control over our manifestations.
People often think that a manifestation must be experienced in physical form. Developing a new perspective about this will ensure you great success as a deliberate creator. The seedling of manifestation is first a vibration, then a thought, and then these vibes and thoughts turn to things. Consider this to be true for a moment. This truism would suggest that in our very nature we’re already completely abundant, well and vibrant. In this higher vibration frequency and connection to our Inner Beings, we are pure, positive, loving energy. This connection brings us to a resistance-free space called the now. I love calling this experience “getting present.”
I have been on a conscious spiritual quest as far back as I can remember. I remember feeling so lonely despite the loving family I was surrounded by. I knew that I had to find connection, and this was my initial desire to know God—my Inner Being. I did not have a teacher or tools for this search until later in my life, and even then, it has taken many years to come to know this bliss.
Over the years, I’ve had opportunities to study with and meet many masters, shaman, and divine teachers. With each new experience, I would become very excited and eager and then often deflated, as I couldn’t actualize what seemed to be the promise of these great teachings. Looking back, there was never anything flawed in any of these great encounters or lessons except my perception. I was not allowing the vibrational essence of all that I was being offered to become my experience. Instead, I was filtering everything through what I now refer to as my Emotional Mind Story or what some call the ego. I was vacillating between a connection with my Inner Being and suffering and drama. I lacked the ease, empathy, and compassion for myself in those days to relax into my being.
By receiving all this knowledge through my Emotional Mind Story, I was assessing and filtering information and energy through my past experiences, my subconscious beliefs, and my attachments to results. Now I realize I was simply spinning my wheels and repeating unwanted scenarios over and over. I call this being in a story. I was trying diligently to master the teachings and tools that were being Joseph Campbell once said, “Follow your bliss,” and this was exactly what I learned to do. I began to know that each of us is made up of pure love and positive energy in our nature. It is only in our perception of separation from that powerful connection with our Inner Being that we create resistance that stops us from creating lives we love and knowing ourselves truly. My perceived Emotional Mind Story was keeping me apart from my own magnificent Inner Being. By shifting my attention to what and how I want to feel as opposed to focusing on things that don’t feel great, I am able to connect more freely to the abundant positive energy that is me.
We all deserve to experience and know the truth of our own nature and Inner Being. Many people have never even thought to peak under the veil of their personalities and dive deeply into their true selves. I am certain if you read on and participate in the suggested experiences, you will come to know the great difference between your Emotional Mind Story and your Inner Being.
I can make only one promise to you—if you allow yourself to let go into what feels like the unknown, you will soon discover a bliss and a knowing about yourself like never before. I will guide you gently through the experience of letting go of worry, doubt, and disbelief. I too am continuously a work in progress, and while we can journey together, only you can guide yourself to your authentic Inner Being of trust, prosperity, love, and joy.
With much love, compassion, and respect, I share with you what has helped me to find the satisfaction, abundance, and the love I had so yearned for. I feel so deeply excited for the possibilities for you and me.
Blessings,
Lisa Paskel
