The Four Views of I – is an Introspection into the Individual using words starting with the letter I. We move past the trilogy of Body, Mind, Soul adding another dimension; Time - the movement of Spirit.
Body, Mind, Soul, and Spirit.
In my own self-discovery, I have been thinking a lot about the law of one lately. This idea is presented in a series of books channeled through Carla Rueckert, known as The RA Material. The basic tenet is everything and everybody is an expression of the One. John Lennon said, “I am he as you are he and you are me and we are all together.”
This view—of what we in the West call God—is intriguing to say the least. Because of this, you will see many concepts in this book some would label “New Age.” I ask you to wade through these concepts despite preconceived ideas. I implore you to think about it and always question everything (including your preconceived ideas.)
By the same token, if you are embittered by your past in organized religion, I ask you to take a fresh look at possibilities you may not be aware of. I ask only for an open mind and heart and patience to get to the end of the book. It is only intended to encourage introspection. You always have free will to choose what you believe.
Okay, ready? Let’s go!
Body, Mind, Soul, and Spirit
The tetrahedron is the first platonic solid, a shape with four sides. This shape represents the basic building block of our dimension.
A good visual aid to have handy is a model tetrahedron. We live in a 4-D world. As mentioned, it is generally agreed that the fourth dimension is time. If we want to view our model in 4-D, we must look at it in time. You can perceive the dimension of time by rotating the model.
The throne of God is described as surrounded on four sides by cherubim (angels). One has the face of a lion. One has the face of an eagle. One has the face of an ox. And the last has the face of a man. Does the God of everything really need to be protected? This seems unlikely. I have heard this arrangement is protection—but not God’s. This set of guards is to protect all of creation from the full power and knowledge of God (Revelation 4:6–7).
We live in a four-dimensional plane. (Yes, physicists say there are more than that, but we can only observe four directly, so we’ll go with that.) Four dimensions correspond nicely with the four angels. Let’s look again at that most basic Platonic solid, the tetrahedron. It is three dimensions defined. If the four angels were arranged around the power of God in a tetrahedral shape, it would completely encapsulate the power. It is how I came to envision a tetrahedron around the throne of God.
This model of four planes makes more sense for surrounding the throne completely. Each of the creatures described can have a different plane of existence.
Moving Past the Trinity View
The reason people think of a trinity of parts is because we can only observe a maximum of three of those parts at any one moment. This phenomenon is caused by our three-dimensional life of height, width, and depth. But we now know there is a fourth dimension we can observe, called time or breadth.
Time is a strange dimension in that we cannot fully observe this dimension as we do the other three. We can see back in time but not forward. We can move forward in time but not back. It is a restricted dimension for us.
Let us call this dimension breadth. So, the four types that make you up can be observed in height, width, depth, and breadth. Hey, it’s biblical!
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. —Ephesians 3:18–19 (KJV)
These correspond to body, mind, soul, and spirit—the four aspects of an individual.
Therefore, this book is about four words: instinct – intellect – intuition – intention
