About the Book

This story is written from the perspective of a young child, following their thoughts about the things that they do and how they respond in the circumstances of the day. It highlights the highs and lows of daily experiences and how they are able to talk to God in all of these. This story is written to share the message that God hears the prayers of his children, both young and old. Our faith tells us that God is the Creator of all living things, that He is everywhere and knows everything. This encourages us to share this message of God who hears and answers our prayers. We understand that God’s answers are not always what we think they should be. However faith, peace, and hope provide a place in our hearts to share our life with God through prayer. We hope that you will be encouraged to remember that God hears you when you seek Him in Jesus’ name.

About the Author

Karolyn grew up being taught the value of prayer and knowing God's love for everyone. This has inspired her life and compassionate acceptance for people, and motivated her passion to equip and empower people in their life. Karolyn has lived and worked internationally and has over 30 years experience of helping people. She currently works as a professional counsellor and serves her local community as a NightWatch Chaplain. Karolyn is constantly inspired by people's capacity and feels greatly privileged to walk alongside them through their challenges and journey to recovery. Rosie grew up in the Philippines and found her faith in Jesus when working in Singapore. From a young age Rosie had a deep commitment to help her family and others around her to achieve their goals in life. Karolyn and Rosie met in Singapore through a women’s group they attended. Their friendship grew when Karolyn asked Rosie to help her by being an interpreter and support for a woman that needed help. This was a role Rosie continued to fill as as they formed a counselling ministry in local nightclubs to encourage trafficked women to know Jesus love for them as they were and in their circumstances. Many of these women told stories of their faith and how shamed they were to be doing this work. These stories and the inner strength of these women inspired Karolyn and Rosie to action. They made it their mission to encourage every person who spoke with them to know that they could have dignity and integrity in God's love and acceptance. They also wanted to encourage young people to have a clearer understanding and strength of faith so that they would be less susceptible to agents who would want to take advantage of their enthusiasm to work and provide for their family. This book came out of their journey through the Philippines, where many of the women they ministered with came from. They talked with local families and community leaders to better understand sociological and spiritual influences and how these impacted families and individuals. They concluded that God is able to help anyone in their circumstance when they are able to seek him. So sharing the truth of God's great love and human capacity to have relationship in Jesus is where they begin to help people now and empower the future generations.
