Trapped Unhappiness overwhelms me. In my mind, in my heart, in my dreams. My soul wants to break free so badly it screams. The more I run, the closer you are. I have nowhere to hide, I can never get far. Destiny Forever hardly seems long enough, To fill the void you left in my heart. I think about you constantly, I can’t accept that we’re apart. The love I feel is still so strong. It just wasn’t our time to be, Right from the start, we were destined to be wrong. A Future’s Past... There was a time when I believed in you. When I looked up to you. When I loved you. When I trusted you. And piece by piece you fell apart. Just when there was one thread left holding us together, You decided to take back your heart. Bitterness Blinded by obsession. Unrelenting in every action. What more…or less could you possibly want? In order to fulfill your satisfaction? About the Author
Rebecca has been writing poetry and short stories for over 20 years. She has studied professional writing and editing at Victoria University and has had her poetry work published in Shades of Gray (2000) by the International Library of Poetry. Rebecca’s fictional works are thrillers and mystery short stories for young adults. Her poetry is powerful and emotive as it comes from her own life experiences. Rebecca’s raw, yet familiar emotions are the inner workings of a girl’s journey to becoming a woman.
