The Adventures of Glow

A heavy rain storm washes thru the Village of Butterfield. The rain is very forceful and it sweeps Glows’ cocoon far away. When the rain showers subside, Glow, a lime green caterpillar with gently beaming eyes the color of honey, emerges from the cocoon. As Glow inches her way through unfamiliar territory, she finally makes it to dry land where she shakes off the leaves and debris that cover her. As Glow continues to crawl, she stumbles upon an earthworm. Glow is excited to finally see, what she thinks is, someone from her village. “Boy, am I glad to see you” Says Glow. Glow begins to tell the Earthworm all about the storm. As Glow is describing the storm in detail, she turns to the Earthworm and finds that his body is halfway in the ground. Glow is puzzled by his behavior. “Hey, hey…What are you looking for?” Glow asks in a puzzled tone. The earthworm pops his head back out of the soil and explains, “I am going home!” “I live under the surface of the earth where it is moist and cool.”
