Carol Flinn has a MA in Psychology and over 40 years experience in behavioral healthcare. She and Robin met in Seattle, Washington and formed a life together in 2001. They relocated to Boston, Massachusetts, in 2004 to join others in the historic State Supreme Court Decision to become one of the first same-sex couples to legally marry in the United States.
While traveling in northern California, Carol and Robin stopped at a small diner for lunch. A wall covered in mirrors presented an opportunity for Robin to capture this “selfie,” showing her with camera in hand and Carol sitting in the background. The photo reflects Robin’s intensity and focus on her photography, while also capturing Carol’s quiet support in the background.
