“Quick, get in the boat,” Eenie calls out. “The waterfall is getting closer! Meeney, I think you are the best boat captain. Can you steer us away from the waterfall?”
“Okay,” says Meeney, “I’m steering as hard as I can. We are floating away from the waterfall. We will be safe now.”
“Thanks, Meeney, for doing such a good job captaining the boat,” Miney says, smiling.
“You’re welcome. I am a good captain, aren’t I?” Meeney agrees.
“Well … since we are already soaking wet, let’s go swimming again!” shouts Miney. “Yeah!”
“Now, Miney, try your flip again; you can do it!” Meeney says encouragingly.
“Wee!” screams Miney. This time, Miney really flips!
“Wow, Miney! That was a super flip! You are really talented; you learned how to flip so quickly!” Meeney exclaims.
“Yes, I did it! I flipped! I am a good flipper, aren’t I?” Miney responds.
“You are a funny flipper Miney!” Eenie joins in the laughter.

About the Author
Vicki Teague is a mother, grandmother, and lifelong animal lover. The idea for the trio came to her when she was a teenager. She uses their story to delight children while teaching them about approval, gratitude, and confidence. She lives with her orange, long-haired cat, Baby, in Houston, Texas.
