Everything Happens for a Reason
Absolutely everything happens for a reason, because we draw it to us. Everything happens to show us where we are at. Instead of asking, “Why did this happen to me?” ask yourself “Why did I draw this situation or person to me and what does my soul want me to know from this experience?” If you ask, and give yourself the time and space to listen, you will always get the answer. We are not victims, we are creators. Things do not happen to us, things happen because of us. A lot of people, including myself, at one time want to be a victim and think that life and people are just mean to them. They may even crave the attention that they receive when they tell their stories of all of the bad things that have happened to them, which really is showing others how much turmoil is in their thinking. When you step out of being a victim, you find your true power, you grow in consciousness, and you learn to love life because now you can create the life you truly want.
Everything in our outer world is connected to what is going on in our inner world. Did your car overheat? Maybe you are working too hard. Are your taps constantly leaking? It is most likely a reflection of your inner emotions. Did your doorknob fall off? This may be a reflection that you need to get a handle on things. Is your foot hurting for no reason or you keep stubbing your toe? Chances are, you need to move forward in an area of your life and you are ignoring it.
I have a client who kept getting hurt. She, in only one week, cut her finger quite badly, banged up her knee, hit her head on a cupboard, fell down her stairs and bruised her tailbone. I showed her that these hurtful events were her creations of how she was talking to herself in a very hurtful way. I showed her that they were happening to her, because her inner hurtful words were manifesting into hurtful injuries, including her vehicle getting a big dent in the side while in a parking lot.
This may be a new concept to some, but it will never fail you if you start paying attention. There is always a connection. The Universe and your soul will bring a circumstance to you to show you what you need at the time. My Mom asked me, “How can this be?” “How can your car have anything to do with you?” Well, each and every thing is a reflection of you, everything! This is how amazing and powerful we are, as well as the Universe. I have seen it so many times in my life and know not to question it, but to trust in it.
While in one of the past relationships I was in, I started getting tendonitis in my arm. It took me a while to understand that forearm tendons are for the muscles in our hands that we use to grab with. It was a sign for me that this relationship was not good, and I needed to “let it go”. As soon as we ended things, my arm started to get better.
One day I came home from work, in the middle of winter, and my door would not open. It was stuck, and I tried everything to open it. I ended up calling my brother-in-law to help. After he finally fixed the problem, I sat down and realized that it was a sign for me to not go ahead with a situation I was thinking about. I was planning to go to a Christmas party with a friend the next day, but I felt in my intuition that I should not go. But, because I wasn’t doing anything anyways and I was getting tired of being bored, I thought I would go. After the incident with my door, I decided that I would not attend the party as this was a big enough incident to happen for me to understand. It turns out that everyone at the Christmas party got bad food poisoning from the supper. Had I gone, I would have been sick, too. I would have been out of work for a few days and this would have been the worst time of year, as a hairdresser, to be ill. Christmas season is our busiest time. To rearrange all my clients would have been impossible. I know that the Universe, our Guides and Higher Selves all work together to make everything and anything happen to help us, in one form or another.
My hope for everyone is to start healing, and free yourself from the armour, blocks, guards and masks that you put around yourself, especially to be free of the negative ego voice that seems to control so much of our negative thinking. Life really is meant to be a journey. Quit taking things so seriously and start living the life that your soul wants for you. Wake up every day and be thankful that you are alive, that you are breathing, and look for all of the gifts that you draw to yourself. You may not believe in any of these concepts, and if they don’t feel true to you then by all means, find something that does fit for you. I believe that if I can come out of my pain and sorrow and learn to understand all of this, then so can you.
