Jotan pauses for a moment. Again, he looks down at his sticks. Taking one in his hand, he begins to glue it to another using the sap, and then without looking up, he continues to project his voice. “Before you go, there is one other aspect of the Creator’s power that you must understand. The power I speak of is love. Love is a self-giving universal force and it must find action in humankind’s physical lives. Man must take this most wonderful thing into his spiritual, mental and muscular activities. If not, love remains the things of poets and idle conversation. In other words love must become action in all your thoughts, words, deeds and feelings, if not then man will fail in his most sublime purpose. When mankind moves and thinks in love, then all goes well. When he cannot move in love, but rather moves in fear only, he finds that fear and love cannot exist together. Either the power of love will manifest freely, or the complications inherent in fear will temporarily paralyze everything. At certain points, your journey will require you to live, act, and breathe love. If you do not, you will fail.”
Looking up at me, Jotan smiles a gentle smile with both his eyes and lips. “Go now. What you need for your journey is waiting. Use these resources wisely, for as all things in the lower worlds, they, too, are limited to the laws of this universe.”
Soul wonders at the great wisdom falling from the child’s lips. Jotan turns back to his playing and Soul turns to leave the little cabin.
