About the Author

Mary E. Mitchell is a prolific writer and teacher of metaphysical studies and courses on the science of our mind, which was the basis of her three previous books and her monthly column in Creative Thought Magazine. She lives in a lakeside community in Cottonwood, California with her husband, Paul, and their persnickety cat, Max.
Mary’s background includes a degree in Forest Industries Management from The Ohio State University (1978), after which she held management positions in the pulp and paper and sawmill industries in the Pacific Northwest. In 1987, she moved to California for a management position in the wood-fired power industry. Soon she found her spiritual home and immediately began studies to become a Licensed Practitioner and then Minister. During this time she found her soulmate, Paul, and remarried, which changed her name from Mary Schroeder to Mary Mitchell. In 1999, she was hired as the manager of the Western Shasta Resource Conservation District, from which she thought she retired in 2012.
This book is a result of her next adventure. After retiring from the District on a Friday, she began serving as interim co-pastor the following Monday at the 325-member Center for Spiritual Living in Redding, California. Now, finally retired (sort of), she serves as an Assistant Minister at the Center in Redding and is able to spend more time at home with Paul and Max, and write.
