Divine Intervention

I backed out into the street and started to drive forward. “GO GET SOMETHING TO EAT. YOU’RE HUNGRY!” What the heck? There was that voice again. I was hungry after all… I hate to admit it. This was amazing. Something very powerful was going on but I didn’t realize at the time how significant this all would be. Now imagine if this happened to you. I’m just as skeptical as the next guy. Just because I hear a repeating voice in my head and around me how do I know it’s coming from the right place, if you know what I mean? I tried to make sense of it all. The message came in a male voice but it surely wasn’t me. That’s for sure. It was done in such a way that I wasn’t afraid at all. I’m not crazy and I haven’t been drinking and I’m certainly not making this up. Well, I thought I better test it. “Ok”, I said to myself (interesting choice of words here), “I’m going to floor it. I’m going to get downtown as fast as I possibly can. If I’m not supposed to be there on time, this voice will REALLY come booming in.” I put the pedal to the floor and the car took off in a flash.
