When we combine the emotional scale with the field of all possibilities illustrated earlier, the Law of Attraction begins to make more sense.
Imagine that you are a transmission tower with the ability to transmit thought at any emotional frequency level. Imagine that your thought has magnetic power. It reaches out and energizes an event in the field of all possibilities and pulls it towards you. Imagine the field of all possibilities as a 3-D cube with infinite layers of possible events.
When we transmit a thought, it creates a trajectory represented by the arrows in the figure above that reaches into the field of all possibilities. Like all other forms of energy such as light, heat, sound etc, thoughts also travel in a straight line created by the trajectory.
So when you transmit at the frequency of anger, you magnetize and bring to you events from the field of all possibilities that match the frequency of anger – or more things to be angry about. When you transmit thoughts at the level of joy, you magnetize and pull towards you people, things and events that will bring you more joy – all other events in the field of all possibilities are unavailable to you as represented by the figure below.
In other words, you cannot think thoughts from a place of guilt on the emotional scale and have access to an event that corresponds to the trajectory of joy.
Now, let’s build this model further by adding the time continuum to it. In the physical world that we live in time goes in one direction, from past to now to the future. The past is behind us; the field of all possibilities is in our future – the next split second is the future.
In our now we could be anywhere on the emotional scale. We could be at Eagerness or at Worry or at Despair, and we would have access to only those events in the field of all possibilities that correspond to our vibrational wavelength.
In the now we have six choices about what sort of thoughts to think:
A We can think about things in our past that make us happy to think about, and adopt the attitude that if good things happened in the past then it is possible for good things to happen in the future as well. When we do so we feel good. (Going to the park) This sort of thinking process takes us up the emotional scale towards Joy and makes the events corresponding to the frequency of joy available to us from the field of all possibilities.
B We can think about things in our past that make us feel the struggle and adopt the attitude that nothing ever works out. When we think this way we feel bad. (Going to the dump). This sort of thinking process takes us down the emotional scale towards Despair and makes the events corresponding to the frequency of despair available to us from the field of all possibilities.
C We can focus on something in the moment that feels good, even if it is just looking out and admiring a tree or a flower, or a bird, and adopt the attitude that this moment in time is perfect. When we do this we feel good. (Going to the park and up the emotional scale)
D We can focus on something in the moment that makes us feel bad, like listening to the news. (Going to the dump and down the emotional scale)
E We can think about the future and focus on what we want from the point of hope and eagerness of having it and feeling the joy of getting there by thinking that it is done.
F We can view the future from a point of view of despair or worry or fear of not having the thing that we want and thinking about all the things that can get in the way of our being able to get it.
Whatever feeling we choose to feel, is the key to the path that leads into the field of all possibilities at its level.
So every moment offers us a choice. We have six thinking choices, and we can use them to go up or down the emotional scale.
I know that in the beginning it seems as though we are not in control of our thoughts and that thoughts just show up in our minds from nowhere, but this isn’t true. It only feels that way because of the autopilot we have practiced into place, and we can change that by making the decision to change and then staying focused on that decision and making it a priority because that is the only way we can ensure long term success and achieve happiness in life.
Take this a step further now and combine the earlier discussion about thought pathways and probabilities. The diagram below shows how this would look. If we were at a low place on the emotional scale, let’s say at a place of Despair, and from that place we are thinking about what we want, which is an event high up on the emotional scale, that event cannot be available to us because we are not a vibrational match to it. In addition, from our place of despair we keep thinking of all the things that could possibly go wrong. And if you are in a place where you have been wanting something for a while and it hasn’t manifested for you, then it is certain that you have been thinking of and increasing the probability of the event that corresponds with the feeling of despair such as, “things never work out the way I want them – there is no hope for me”.
The emotional distance between the thing that you want and the thing you are afraid will happen is the vibrational or emotional gap. This emotional gap is the reason that you don’t have the things you want;
