About the Book

This book has been created in order to make children feel happy and safe. Each story has a happy ending. The friendship between the people and the animals comes out clearly. The purpose of this book is to bring out care and respect towards the environment and other people. It can also give some helpful ideas for the situation in kindergarten or preschool.

These stories can be told to the child as well. Some of them are suitable “good night stories”. As life at home, particularly in cities, can get very busy and children have less time to go to forests or visit farms, the stories give children images of life outside of the city.

About the Author

Riita Korpinen’s life has been surrounded by young children. While working for over thirty years as a kindergarten teacher she learned to use stories for many situations. They can be used for healing, helping behavioral difficulties, bringing happiness . . . Often these kinds of stories have a powerful effect on young children, as the stories are taken in so seriously and fully. Most of these stories are based on true events that have occurred on the farm.
