I said, “Did somebody hurt you?” She screamed at me, “Daddy did it.” I recall being horrified and thinking, “God I hope he didn’t hear that. He’ll be devastated. He loves her. I said, “Don’t say that darling. Daddy wouldn’t hurt you. He loves you.” “He did, he did,” she screamed. What do you do when you find yourself in a nightmare that just keeps getting worse and worse? When you feel you are acting a part in some weird ongoing horror movie and you keep thinking “What am I doing in this story?” When you think the horror will never end but you have to keep going through it because you have no choice. You battle to stay sane while at the same time stay determined to discover the truth and your whole reality shifts so you can embrace the way things really are….. You find there really is a God after all and you become eternally grateful for your life, your sanity and all the beauty and wonder which surrounds you every day.

About the Book
I was prompted to tell my story after the person I’d loved for most of my life had betrayed my trust in the worst possible way. In sharing, perhaps a little light will be cast on the darkness of sexual abuse in families. Because it’s in the telling that the fear, which assists the deception and secrecy, is dispelled.
