The Postman's Tale

“Many people think that when we are good, kind, and compassionate, we are
weak. It is the opposite. “Zhuangzi, 4th Century BC Chinese Philosopher mentions
that 19 'life forms have an innate ability or power to transform and adapt to their
surroundings... Humans are also subject to this process as humans are part of
nature'.
“What Zhuangzi is saying Jack, is that we are just like the animals, the birds,
the trees, the flowers. We are part of nature so we adapt to it. However, do humans
simply want to adapt to their environment, or do they want to evolve to improve it, for
themselves and for others? Not for the ego state, but for the spiritual self within? We
have the tools to do this now, and when we use them, we truly can transform human
evolution. Goodness, kindness and Compassion are not weaknesses, they are the only tools we can use to obtain Spiritual Integrity which leads us to the right way, the spiritual way by which we can learn to progress correctly in human evolution.
“Very recently, Jack, there have been some very critical debates between scientists and researchers regarding the origin of life and the design hypothesis. In other words, did science create an Us, or is there an 'Intelligent Design', meaning a God, call it what you like, behind us? Dr Stephen Meyers, a Philosopher of science and advocate for Intelligent Design calls this a 20 'Darwinism V God debate'.
Sam glanced down and saw Jack lying there trying really hard to keep up....
“Recently,” Sam continued, “more and more scientific understandings regarding the origin of life are disputing Darwin's hypothesis. Dr Stephen Meyers explains in one of his lectures that Darwin said this about the origins of life; 21 'there seems to be no more design in the variability of organic beings, and in the action of natural selection, than in the course in which the wind blows'.
“Yet even today, new levels of scientific discussions are explaining that Darwin's theories are not adequate explanations for how our origin began. Dr Stephen Meyers refutes Darwin's theories of natural selection and asks the question 23 'is Adaptation the only appearance of design? And if not, has natural selection explained all others'?
“Obviously, with our advancement into the understanding of how complexly a cell is formed, it apparently has not Jack, because when Darwin was alive they did not have the most sophisticated and complex microscopes to be able to view the complexity of a cell....its billions and billions of sequences of codes that are necessary, within a huge factory of complex parts, each part needing to be in the exact order for the codes to form a single cell.
“The question of natural selection has come about, therefore, very recently, explains Dr Stephen Meyers, 25 'in a very acute manner'.
“Now this is getting pretty heavy Jack, and its getting late. Are you sure you don't want me to stop and carry on this discussion another day?
“Oh no!” replied Jack “please carry on, I want to hear the rest of it, I want to know how this debate ends”.
“Alright” replied Sam. “ You are a very determined little friend Jack!”
“Well, there are quite a number now of evolutionary biologists calling for a new theory of evolution. A group called the 24 Altenburg Sixteen. Dr Stephen Meyers talks about them in one of his lectures; he states 25 'We need a a new theory of evolution because natural selection acting on random mutations simply does not have the creative power long attributed to it'. Meyers goes on to explain that 25 'in particular it has a very hard time using that mechanism to explain the origins of fundamentally new forms of life'.
“In other words, Jack, Meyers is explaining that 'there is no scientific proof that humans gradually appeared on earth from the Darwinism theory of natural selection acting on random mutations. Therefore if there is no scientific evidence, there has to be another means that humans appeared. There must be some sort of Intelligent Design behind all of Us'.
“However, Jack, Meyers did not say that Darwin's theory was impossible! And I have my doubts. It has taken us billions and billions of years to create this earth, scientific evidence has proved this part! Why could it not take billions and billions of years to create one single cell? Is there not a chance that Darwinism v God can both be acceptable theories? And that all along we have been looking in the wrong place for the God theory?
“You see Jack, for thousands of years so many different religions have
been taught all over the World. Each religion has their own belief of who God is, and
all practice their own individual rituals, routines and indoctrinations. And most people
need to have a religion as a faith, a belief.
“But, what is this thing, belief, we are all so desperate to acquire? We need to
hope that it will change our lives: a belief that there is a Source, an energy beyond
our routine lives. We grip onto that belief so we have some hope that our lives are
not just the routine reality of our daily existences, and that for many of us who have
suffered, we desperately need that faith, that is a hope, to try to help detach from pain. This hope is what we all call God, the Source. We hope that God will sort it all out, that he is watching over us and will finally make all things right, but only if we believe in him
and love him with all our hearts.
“We believe that this God or Source is external to us, that It is out there
looking down on us. But what if we have all been looking in the wrong place for God, our Source all these thousands of years? Once we start looking for the Source internally, we can find our Source, God—whatever you want to call It. Once you begin to use your Conscious mind, you will begin to find your God, the Source! It is in you!
“There is a lovely phrase that Carl Sagan, an Astrophysicist, Cosmologist and Astronomer uses to describe This. He says; 26 'The Cosmos is within Us. We are made of Star-stuff. We are a way for the Universe to know itself'.
“When we can practice Consciousness using Positive thinking, Compassion and Empathy for all life forms, this is when our lives can really start to change and Consciousness answers us. It answers in ways that you could never imagine. It gives us the opportunity to understand what it is like to feel true Spiritual Integrity; to connect to our Higher-self, to find Enlightenment and the prospect that never before have humans been able to accomplish, the prospect of connecting to Source. This is truly a revolution for human evolution!
“I will leave this for you to contemplate Jack.
Jack was now drifting to sleep. He wanted to stay awake but he simply
couldn't keep his eyes open any longer.
“Good night Jack, my trusted friend. Have a wonderful sleep.”
Sam took his empty mug back to the kitchen and quietly climbed up the old, wooden stairs.
“Sweet dreams Jack. Sweet dreams.”
