As a therapist working with adults, my clients and I have uncovered unhealed places in the Inner Child, which, hidden in the subconscious part of the mind, continue to call out for healing in present life. It occurred to me that these unhealed states of mind are common to all of us. They reveal a separation in us from our spiritual nature and our awareness of who we really are, namely precious children of the Creator.
The overriding question is, “Who am I?” When we are reminded of who we really are, we can claim our basic goodness, our creativity, our need for expression, and our safety in the world.
Our own Little Angel is the “still, small voice” within us which continues to inform and guide us on our journey.
My hope in writing my children’s stories is that they may help awaken in children their own angel within, helping them remember what they already know and what they need to hold on to in their journey through life.
