About the Book

Purpose of story
This story demonstrates the key common elements in bully and victim behaviour. It exposes the mindset of both bully and victim. It shows a way of resolving the deadlock.

The story
Rollo Rat feels powerful. He gets self-esteem by putting his sisters down; he is mean and nasty to them. Pixie, Pumpkin, Polly and Petunia have low self-esteem; they feel powerless. When Rollo and his sisters take responsibility for themselves, however, they become happy, creative and resourceful.

Point of control
Most of us have felt like victims at some stage. This occurs when things are not going our way, and we try to blame others. The point of control is always within ourselves and is exercised when we take responsibility for our own thoughts, feelings and reactions. .

Assisting children overcome limiting mind sets will help equip them for later life.
