I like the pig best. He looks really smart.
Emily says that pigs ARE smart and she says that ham comes from pigs. I wish she hadn’t told me that in front of the pig. I wish she hadn’t told me at all, because it makes me sad and it’s my birthday today.
On the way back to school I just have to talk to Emily about this. Somebody has to do something. Someone has to help the animals.
Emily says that her family only eats plants. I have been to Emily’s for dinner and I don’t remember them eating any plants.

Lesley is an artist presently living with her husband in Calgary, Alberta. She can usually be found painting or drawing in her sketchbook and eating plants.
