Everything Is Unfolding in a loving and Harmonious Way

Where Miracles Come From My experiences through the years in the practice of spiritual law have convinced me that God does not create the miracles in our lives. I believe in a God that shows us how to make miracles for ourselves. God, or infinite intelligence, if you will, gave us all that creative power. That is what it means to be made in the image and likeness of God. It means that we have been given the power to create our lives, as we would have them be. The power to choose what our life experience will be is an activity of free will. We do that ourselves, or not, depending on how well we apply our understanding and faith. It seems to me that this is what Jesus Christ was trying to teach us by the way he lived his life. Did he not remind us that we could do the things that he did and even greater things? When we consciously apply ourselves to a specific goal in life, and live in the reality of that goal fulfilled, we are creating our miracle. Conversely when people are unaware that his or her thoughts ultimately create their reality, and through unconscious neglect, allow random thoughts and ideas to invade their mind and take root, those individuals are going to experience life commensurate with the quality of those thoughts and ideas. Be warned dear reader, these universal laws are active in your life from the time you were a child becoming aware of the world around you. When we consciously make the decision to be, do or have something in our reality, and proceed to apply ourselves to it with our thoughts words and actions, we create a miracle for ourselves. When we go through life, unaware of this activity of mind, we unwittingly create all kinds of unpleasant experiences for ourselves. I did that for a lot of years before becoming aware of the power that was within me that would change that process from negative experiences to positive ones. Actually, life itself is a miracle, and the first miracle that you ever created in your present life was being born into it. We are all spiritual beings living a human experience, and the spiritual being that I am, must have really wanted to experience the human experience again a great deal, considering what it went through being born, and with the likelihood of its innate awareness of what it would have to endure throughout this present sojourn. As mentioned earlier, when life seems too heavy sometimes, just looking around at what is going on in the life journey of other people, and being aware that the path that each one of us takes is a choice we all make, makes me feel so grateful that I am me, with my challenges, and not one of them. Needless to say, I haven’t met anyone, rich or poor, man or woman, more educated or not, or in any field of endeavor that I would want to change places with. Life has taught me that whatever path any individual takes in their life, that path is ultimately a path back home to God for that individual. Yes, even those who appear to take the most difficult ways that sometimes appears stupid and full of folly. From a soul level, we all take the path that is ultimately in our best interest as a spiritual being. To me, those souls who come into this world in a body that is somehow challenged by deformity or mental impairment are those of the greatest courage and for whom I hold the highest esteem. Remember dear reader; these are ideas and understandings that my experience of life has brought to me. It’s not my place to tell you that you should adopt these ideas in your own life unless something said here resonates with you. What I am wanting to convey to you is that your greatest gift from a loving creator is your free will and a good mind, and that it is your privilege and responsibility to think for yourself and not relinquish that privilege and responsibility to anyone, be they friend, beloved relative, government or political persuasion, people more educated than you and especially to a religion. Religion loves to do your thinking for you. Religions love to use fear and guilt to keep folks in line, that’s what they invented hell for. Fear and guilt, the gifts that keep on giving, all your life. In the final analysis however, I have slowly become aware through the years, that much of what we hear from pulpits are opinions and interpretations of the opinions and interpretations of those who came before the present moment interpreter with his or her opinion. Most religions tell you what your truth should be, rather than allowing you to find your own. In doing so, they take away that wonderful gift of free will. This seems a good place to digress a bit from my personal experiences in the use of spiritual law and give you some insight into where organized religion came from in the first place. I’ve been studying this subject since the age of sixteen not only from books, but also in countless discussions with priests, Rabbis and ministers from many faiths, and it has been one of the great avocations of my life. In the process, I’ll also try to give you a very clear idea of my present day understanding of what God is. Before we begin however, please bear in mind that this power that we call God was around long before man existed on this planet and that it will be around long after wards.
