In The Garden Of My Heart

We are all connected. Everything is connected. In some way shape or form, everything is somehow linked and connected. Some of you already know and understand this. Others are in the process of discovering this small yet very important fact.
So why is it that we are not truly integrating it in our lives and making it part of who we are? Understanding that everything and everybody is connected gives you insight into many, many solutions--many ways of not taking on board or holding onto unnecessary energies like emotions of fear, frustration, sadness, mostly negative feelings or thoughts which have nothing to do with what is actually happening around us. We hold on so tightly that these negative energies become our biggest obstacles and, in most cases, mountains we seemingly cannot overcome. Knowing and understanding that we are connected to everything and everybody around us creates channels of energy flowing between us and things. It allows us to take the picture through the lens of a brilliant photographer.
So do I tell you a story to help and guide you on a fast track in life? Yes, there is such a thing and you will see it. Here is the thing: How do I tell you everything I know and understand so you can make the connections? Here I have a dilemma: Do I tell it through a story or through basic practical steps? The latter would mean that I need to give you details of many levels, subjects and millennia of teachings and studies, most of which I have not mastered myself. This is not going to work, is it? Or do I simply write what I know and hope for the best? The best being that people who understand what I am talking about will read this book and get it. That is defeating the object. I want to reach as many people as I possibly can, so I need to give it to them in a level of understanding, which will mean myself. I need to give through myself--what happened and what lessons I got from it.
Go back to the stages in your life from which you have learned the most or when you found it most difficult to be happy. Write it down. Describe the learning, not the people or the situation. In all these experiences the important thing was to learn. We only grow when we can see the learning, so we become aware of what that is for each one of us. Having a negative attitude and resisting the process will result only in disappointment and failure for each of us. The learning is needed in every aspect of our self – body, mind and soul. This makes the experience complete so we can move on.

If you are willing to peel the onion to find and start experiencing the garden in your heart, you will see love all around you. In everyone and everything you will find the joy and take the best of what you need to grow, to understand and to love. The devil is the negative form or energy. The devil is what makes us uncomfortable about ourselves, that part or piece of us that we hope no one will ever see. Sometimes…no, a lot of times, we wish not to take note of this devil. It manifests in others, in situations or in our own minds as the thing that holds us back from really looking and seeing what the human eye cannot see. It closes our hearts so we cannot see with our whole being to experience the positive, even in seemingly bad situations.

Offer gratitude to those pushing you to your limits - emotionally, physically, mentally. It is they who teach us the most. We tend to see them as negative people or negative events in our lives, but once you have recognized the fear within yourself causing you to attract this, you will also see that it was the greatest gift to you. Say thank you to those souls teaching you how to overcome your fears. It is only by facing them head-on that we learn – unfortunately, but great. Forget for a moment your upbringing, your culture, your financial status, your job title…Who are you without that? Does all of this define us? Is that who or what we really are?

Each one of us is unique. The people that appear to “make it” are the ones that recognize that in themselves. Because they do this, they can beat the odds every time. I want to take that uniqueness a step further. When we recognize our uniqueness, we connect to who we truly are – the soul. This connection in itself brings us again to being connected to everyone else. It is what keeps us humble and grateful for what we know. We know that every one of us has this ability to be the best at whatever it is we want to be. It is not a cliché, but a great truth. The ones to recognize this truth will go beyond their own expectations, as they have none. They have no limitations. They know there is enough for everyone. They know they have the knowledge to do whatever they wish. They know they have the connection that plugs them into all of the universe and what it offers. Their resources become endless. Whatever they need seems to just appear. Why is that? Let us look at ourselves first.
