Gavin Pitt was born in South London and started cooking at Langan’s Brasserie, Piccadilly. In 1997 he migrated to Australia and continues to cook, travel, observe, and teach.

Rachael Thomson was born in England and raised in Australia. She is a qualified designer and experienced editor, and has worked in the education sector since 1997.
