Spiritual Snake Oil

I would even argue that spirituality has become elitist, when in fact the core belief really is that we are all one. The universe does not do division, the universe wants unity, and the very vehicle we have (spirituality) to realise that has become polluted in its own self-importance. There are no levels of anything when living a life of balance between the physical and the spiritual, literally none. The only scale you face in this lifetime is your own. You cannot have someone else’s experience, for the most part we do not feel each other’s experience, so how we engage is a matter entirely for the individual. Any boundaries such as duration or type of meditation, just as one example in many, or even whether to meditate at all is one hundred percent a matter for the person in question. How you pray, how you manifest, who/what you believe in, what religion or belief system you ascribe to, none of it matters, none. What matters is the absolute bottom drawer basics, be nice to people, do not be greedy, consider our environment, these are seriously spiritual elements with immense potential that almost sound childlike and silly in today's world. Ironically, these basic solutions have become ignored in favour of a complex, knowledge-based spirituality that is not accessible or palatable to your average human. Unless we have trauma to transcend or life lessons to embody, spirituality is simple, and it has been kept simple so it remains accessible. Whether it was capitalism or just our default human ability to create great good and terrible bad from the same thing, spirituality is not publicly acceptable or easily accessible and is not having the impact it could or should. So many rules from so much by-pass. People mostly think spirituality is weird, and it could again be argued that this is solely our own fault for introducing levels and pomposity abound. It is not Scientology you know; we are not trying to get clear.
