Grandad a divine connection, guiding force of love and alignment with Spirit. Amongst the infinite memories of my Grandad, one of my fondest was being with him in our greenhouse together. We spent so, so many days in each other’s company within its glass walls, lovingly tending to all the flowers and plants. While he potted and pruned, I found lovely Ladybirds, something I could never get enough of. I absolutely adored him and time with him was magical. He was a quiet, gentle man who ceaselessly wrapped me in love, joy, laughter and encouragement. Being with him in this space, where glass panes were all that separated us from the world, brought absolute contentment and was a feeling like no other. Whenever I needed him, he was there for me. Everything about him was special to me: his kind demeanour, the twinkle in his eye, watching him smoke his pipe, listening to him reassure me, “I’m always here for you Georgie.” Grandad was and remains my champion, my friend, my confidant, my teacher, my listener; without him my direction may have taken a completely different path. Without him, this memoir, this book, may have not been birthed.
