More Than One Way of Knowing We are taught language of a particular kind. One that’s logical, analytical, measurable, knowable. Where we often slice ourselves So thinly, to make ourselves fit those expected ways we learn we ‘should’ be, conditioned to conform. But the language of the body, is oh so very different, with oh so many channels of perceptions, to make sense of our true lived experience. Imagine a world where we are taught this language so young that we learn to listen to it, to trust it, to be guided by its wisdom. To not be ‘weakened’ by it, through the lens of the analytical mind. Where we honour its pace, it’s slower, more loving speed, as a true friend of the mind, so together they can be wise and kind. Division in this world is only possible in this separation, in those harsh mental certainties, that crush anything too ‘soft’ or ‘woo woo’, which is to crush the soul out of you. So for more connection more wisdom more truth of your lived experience, finds some tenderness in the listening to the creative expressions of this subtler language of your preciously connected mind body and soul that is calling for you if you just take some time in the stillness of this moment. Onesie of the Body and Mind For so long we've trusted the mind, scrabbling around for answers to find. Incomplete and fragmented parts, so very far from the truths of our hearts. The onesie of the body and mind, complete as friends one of a kind. A friendship for us to cultivate, from simple acts of give and take. Gravity is its loving container, free from mind as the restrainer. Trusting in the letting go, opening to what the onesie knows. From I to Us What does it mean for us to thrive? To be engaged and feel alive. Having space to open up, to fill our ever-flowing cup. We are born for interconnection, to touch and feel true affection. Working in collaboration, new connections in formation. Being so much more than ‘I’ in sensing ‘us’ we truly fly. We are more than the sum of parts, isolation freely departs. Embracing every new beginning, creativity seeds now brimming. Connection of a different kind, beyond the individualistic mind.

Soo Strong is a trauma-informed poet and embodiment practitioner whose work explores healing, presence, and transformation through the language of the body and heart. She holds certifications in Somatic Coaching, Focusing Training, the Felt Sense Polyvagal Model for Trauma and Addiction(FSPM), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), NLP Master Practice and Mindfulness Teaching.
