About the Book
"Sweetie, Don't Eat That" is a fun and funny, beautifully illustrated book about the things kids try to eat. For moms and dads, their most commonly used phrase to kids are "Sweetie, don't eat that." Toddlers and young kids are constantly trying to put things in their mouth: flowers, pencils, necklace beads, coins, phones. Some things are safe and some are unsafe and often dirty. "Sweetie, Don't Eat That" tells the story of a 3-year-old Katie learning what to eat and what not to eat with her friend Mark.
About the Author
W. S. Thompson is currently an editor-in-chief of a U.S. newspaper. In her past, she was a teacher for children who are deaf, have language disorders, and have intellectual, physical, mental and emotional disabilities. She has an organization that provides birthday parties for homeless kids throughout the U.S. She also hosted the radio show, "Mother-to-Mother", where mothers provided advice on raising healthy kids. She has worked in the media at such outlets as PBS, NPR, FOX, CBS, and WB.
