About the Author

Kerry Gail is a writer, editor, and world traveler. If she’s not out walking, crammed up with someone in her personal space on a bus or plane, or snapping photos, she’s tending to plants, writing, and sipping tea. For her, there’s always another adventure just around the next corner. Despite coping with anxiety and the intrusive effects of CPTSD, particularly on her solo travels, it didn’t stop her. For years she wrestled with dysregulation and couldn’t understand why certain triggers sent her into a spiral or why she sometimes felt disconnected from herself. Then she learned about CPTSD and had an “Aha” moment. Through trial, error, and deep reflection, she found ways to calm her nervous system, reconnect with the present moment, and create a sense of peace, no matter where she was. Now she’s passionate about sharing these tools with others who may be struggling with their own anxiety or trauma responses.
