About the Book
Parenting doesn’t come with a manual, but this book comes close. • What if you knew exactly what to do in the face of meltdowns, yelling, and the daily chaos of raising kids? • How would your life change if each big feeling brought you closer to your child instead of driving you apart? In this groundbreaking guide, Dr. Molly shares simple yet transformative tools for navigating emotions during the most intense moments of parenting. Written with the exhausted parent in mind, this book weaves candid stories, research-backed insight, and down-to-earth exercises into a highly readable, deeply relatable lifeline. Helpless in the face of her son’s explosive behavior, Dr. Molly drew on her own experience as a researcher, educator, and mother to methodically test every tool she could find to help kids process emotions. In less than a year, her son went from flipping tables and cowering behind barricades to calmly confronting his second-grade bully. That journey became a movement, and this book is your invitation to join it. Sweet Emotion is more than a parenting manual. It’s a call to make healthy emotional habits as common as brushing your teeth. Whether you're raising a child, teaching one, or trying to repair what you didn’t get as a kid yourself, this book offers a steady path toward calm, connection, and clarity, amid the messy backdrop of family life.
