Some people would call some of our shamanism techniques mind over matter. It doesn't matter what you call it, the only thing that matters is that it works. It moves us beyond our comfort zone, beyond our limitations of strength and belief systems. It pushes us beyond walls that we didn't even know existed. It's the placebo pill that works. To break it down to the simplicity of it all, it is mind over matter. And that is exactly what we are doing in this entire class. We are getting the person we are working with, whether it be our-self, or our client… is to burst through their belief system, that is the biggest wall we put upon our self (due to fear or any obstacles we place upon our-selves) it is the belief system that it can't be done. There is no such thing as the word “can't”. We are not human beings we are a Spiritual being having a human experience. We are beyond all limitations of the mind/ body and emotions. We've died and come back how many times??? How many past lives have we had? There are no limits! Power animals are one of the tools we use to help us use this mind over matter. It is a technique, a tool. Soul retrieval is another tool, we, as shamans can use to get the mind to overcome obstacles and limitations. Soul Retrieval is like playing a game, going in to the four chambers, you are convincing the mind that wound can be healed. That wound was a promise that put you in that situation. During the Soul retrieval you move beyond those limitations and heal it.
