Sister Gladys Pierre was only six months old when her mother left Haiti for America and gave her to her grandparents. Her father went to the Bahamas. Growing up, she didn’t know either of her parents. Instead, Pierre was raised by her grandparents in a country where most people live in poverty or are disadvantaged.
In The Power of Faith, Prayer, and Hard Work, she shares her story. She tells how God guided her as a little girl who was lost, confused, alone, afraid, and had no trust in anything or anyone. She believed she didn’t deserve anything good, and that she was worthless because of lack of self-esteem.
Pierre shares how although she was praying, nothing happened in her life until she started exercising faith. Then she started seeing major changes and realized faith was the special key. One must know how to use faith for your prayers to be answered. Faith, prayer, and hard work go together.
