Lucy Goosey was lying in front of the patio doors, just waching the large, fluffy snowflakes drift to the ground. She huffed and puffed and said, "Open this door so I can go play before the snow melts away." She waited but no one came. She huffed and puffed and said in a louder tone, "Open this door so I can go play before the snow melts away." Still no one. What was going on? Where was everybody? Lucy Goosey heard voices and headed toward the kitchen. Everyone was excited. What was going on? Skiing!!! We are going skiing? That made Lucy Goosey so happy. She was so excited she started running around the house. She ran this way and that way. She ran in circles and zigzags. She ran up the stairs and down the stairs. She always wanted to go skiing down the slopes. She pictured herself speeding by everyone to the bottom of the hill.

About the Book
Lucy Goosey is a book about a dog that lives with her family. The problem is Lucy Goosey doesn't realize she is a dog. She thinks she is a person, like everyone else and wants to be included in everything they do. When she is not included she uses sheer determination to find a way to make it happen.
About the Author
Ana Isabel Barquero is an education assistant that believes in fairy tales and happy endings. She believes everyday should be full of creativity, awe and wonder. Her passion for story telling started with singing funny jingles and songs to her children. After many years she has decided to write the stories she was always meant to tell. Ana lives in Ontario, Canada with her four children, her dog, Lucy and her cat, Luna.
