About the Book

This book aims to shed light on several subjects from the author’s perspective, through personal connections with others, and observations of her surroundings. The poetry is one part, and the visual illustrations add another layer, in the hope that the reader may somehow understand and connect with the pain, happiness and appreciation experienced through this body of work. Through all experiences in life, both positive and negative. No matter how dark or how light, there is always room for growth, understanding and change of any person. About the Author

Karen Saunders is a mental health professional, who recently decided to leave this field and focus her energy on creative writing and creating art. She is a an intensely passionate fan of conveying her work through words, paint and mixed media. Drawing on emotional experiences in life with others and an appreciation of the animals, plant kingdoms and the universe have moved her to write and illustrate how she sees some of the world. The light and the dark sides of her poems reveal fun, mystery and excitement. On the other hand, pain, sadness and negative human behaviours. They include a little education and resonance, compelling the reader to think and reflect on their own sentience.
