The purpose of this book has been to give the small yard owner some options to being able to green up small areas where previously it was not possible to do so. The second reason entails ideas for the hobbyist who can’t just go out and buy what they need if it isn’t available. However, a manufacturing company is geared up to produce some of these Brackets for those of us who do prefer to buy products straight off the shelf. The following are several jigs and bending devices, some of which I have made for the sole purpose of creating these brackets for my garden. Most handy persons would find them within their scope of talents to fabricate them. This book would suit a passionate gardener, a novice or a handy person who likes to create artifacts, improve the environment, create a carbon sink, peg back global warming, save some of our endangered flora, purify the air or just for a hobby. This book may give some fresh ideas. From a small balcony or a tiny courtyard, we can all make a difference. Collectively though as individuals we can change the world and the environment to one of so much beauty and contribute to a healthier planet.
About the Author
Roy Jackson began his career as a Tradesman in Brisbane working for several vehicle-building firms rising to a supervisor position then to take the lead in the research and development section, crafting new body designs, including fiber reinforced plastic molds, jigs, dies and production line for manufacturing the new models. Roy then took up Technology Teaching after studying for a degree in Secondary Education (BED). He taught at several high schools in Queensland until retiring at the age of 60 to pursue his own interests. Technology was his passion which he incorporated in the design, make, and appraise in the development and creativity in all that he did and taught. Computer Aided Design, sketching and descriptive text were used and taught to explain the process in solving problems according to a brief.
