About the Book

Within a week of finding out that my only sibling had stolen my parents’ entire life savings when they were in their eighties, I began to journal day-to-day events of the drama that ensued. From being accused of being the thief, attempts to try to get Chuck fired from his job, to being run off the road, they didn’t stop until they brought Chuck into court to gain control of the entire estate. The saddest part is their attempt to railroad a beloved son out of the final years of his parents’ lives. See how misinformed extended family got involved and intentionally overlooked the facts to keep my disabled parents living in their home of fifty-three years. Intertwining these events with five million annual cases of Elder Financial Abuse in America, we now have a personal story of UNDUE INFLUENCE!

About the Author

Charles A. (Chuck) Moran was born in East St. Louis, Illinois in 1958 and moved to Millstadt with his family as a ten-year-old boy. He grew up living in this small town as close to the lead character in “Leave it to Beaver” as you could imagine. It was a great childhood. Chuck worked forty-four years for the same solid Fortune 500 company that his father worked forty years for. As an adult, he moved four miles from home, married the love of his life and proudly raised two daughters. Just when he thought life was beginning to enter “The Golden Years”, he discovered his only sibling had stolen every penny his disabled parents had. See how he responds to the depravity of those close family members. His goal in life at this point is to see that YOU are prepared to handle similar situations.
