About the Book
Summer is a little baby bear who lives with her parents and older siblings in the middle of Blueberry Woods. She is cute, smart, adventurous, and determined to be just like the runaway monkey in the story her grandmother read to her the night before. After she packs a few of her favorite things, Summer escapes in the middle of the night. Soon after she finds a good spot to camp, the little bear meets Callie, a new bear friend, who decides to share her tent with her. Meanwhile, Summer’s family is becoming more worried by the day and start searching for her. But little do they know that Summer is starting to get homesick. Will the little bear ever find her way back home? In this charming story with an important message, a little bear runs away from home, only to discover how much her family really loves her.
About the Author
George Moniaros has been writing since he was very young. When he was an eight-year-old third-grader, he penned short stories and novels with help from his second grade teacher. The experience led him to write and publish his debut children’s book, The Runaway Summer.
