Royal Outcasts: The Coronation

Have you ever wanted to punch a customer in the throat? Well try being a server on game day in Tuscaloosa Alabama. This town gets some of the biggest jerks from both sides when we play a home game, but then again, it’s also one of the most exciting and fun events this town has to offer. Now I’m not a sports fan but who am I to tell someone not to enjoy something because I think it's boring? Just another day working my ass off for half the pay I should be bringing home and another day leaving at almost two am. Not to mention I'm the last one leaving the restaurant ...again. Who else is going to clean up if I don’t? Anyway, I can’t bitch too much I suppose. At least it’s a beautiful night tonight. The sky is clear and full of stars and the fall air is clean and crisp. Now I just have to remember where I parked my car. The parking situation in this town on a home game is just pathetic. We can’t seem to keep up with the increasing number of people that come to the games every year. It’s the curse of living in a college town where the football team is always winning , I suppose. My feet feel like they are each one big ass blister. Just a few more painful steps later and I reach the parking deck. Tuscaloosa has been on a building boom the past few years and this is one of the many parking decks the mayor seems to think we had to build. It looks less like a parking deck and more like a refurbished warehouse, but that’s the trend now to make municipal buildings look all historic so they blend. I hate this parking deck on game days, it’s either so full you have to drive around for days to find a parking space or so empty you think you’re being stalked by a creeper. Tonight the feeling of being watched is ridiculous, it's just little ole me and my paranoia to keep me company while I try to remember where I parked my damn car. Everyone else is either at a bar getting wasted or at a house party puking on each other while doing the nasty. Walking through the parking deck I notice it’s darker than usual. Giving it further inspection I notice that someone got a bit smashy with the lighting. I try not to think too much of it and tell myself the college kids and fans are drunk tonight and neither tend to make the best decisions when that happens. Finally, my car decides to make an appearance, and it seems to have company. “Hey there.” I say to the stranger standing next to my car while giving him my usual dude nod.He returns my nod with a smile. This guy doesn’t seem all that right. He shouldn’t be scary to me. He's an attractive well put together dude after all. Come to think of it, he's very attractive. Built perfectly, well-groomed, dressed to impress with that form fitting black suit. The kind of guy you want to get up close to just to see what he smells like. I’ve seen hot guys, but none have had this kind of effect on me before. So why is a hot guy like this one making me freak out so much? Could it be that we are the only two people here, or could it be that freaky ass smile on his beautiful face? He finally responds with “You’re out late aren’t you little one?” I can't help but give him a confused look.“Little one? I’m pretty sure we are about the same height.” He responds with a chuckle and walks a few steps closer, I grip my keys between my fingers inside my pocket. If he thinks I’m going down without a fight he’ll find out I’m not when my keys are stuck in his eye sockets. Why do I think he’s going to hurt me? “You seem to be afraid, why is that?’ I give one of those pathetic laughs that sound like a cough and say “I’m not afraid, it’s just been a long night. Just ready to get home.” and smile like a dork.He steps closer, close enough for me to smell. Dear God, his scent alone makes the hairs on my arms stand up. It’s like his scent is electric. “Can, um... do you need a ride or something?” the frick? Did I just offer him a ride? I've never done that before in my life. I don't trust people in general because of the suck factor most of them have. His smile grows. “No, just out for a walk. I got a bit hungry and decided to see what this town had to offer.” His voice is like butter. I give him a smile back and say “Well I hate to tell ya but at this hour there isn’t much open. Maybe a bar, or fast food if you’re into that.” He reaches out and puts his hand on my shoulder. Holy shit, did my shoulder just have an orgasm?! He finally says “No little one, that isn’t my thing.” Then that freaky ass smile comes back, but this time his face isn’t so beautiful. Where did those pointy teeth come from? The next thing I know is his mouth is on my throat. Holy shit it hurts! I can’t move! Why can’t I move? He’s not even holding me down. This isn’t right, I should be able to move. Stop, I must make him stop. My finger…. My hand is still in my pocket. I can feel the keys but I can’t move my arm. Shit shit shit! I’m not letting this freak take me out like this. If I’m going down I’m damn well making sure he remembers me for a long time. My face is close enough to smell his neck. He still smells amazing. I feel dizzy, shit I have to do something. His neck is so close, why not show him what it feels like. I open my mouth and try to bite him back. Why is it so hard to open my mouth? Slowly I manage to open it as far as I can, my tongue lands on his neck and he jumps slightly like he didn't expect me to fight back. I can’t let this freak get away, I use all the willpower I can muster and clamp down with my teeth. I had no idea how hard it is to break the skin with your teeth but I freaking did it. Blood comes flowing hard and fast, so fast it flows down my throat before I could stop it. I've tasted blood before as we all have like after a nosebleed or a fist fight, so I expected the same salty metallic flavor. As I'm guzzling his blood I ask myself three questions. Number one- Why the hell does his blood taste so amazing? Number two- Why the hell am I drinking it down like I'm dying of thirst. And number three- Why am I flying through the air upside down towards a car? Oh, I guess I pissed him off.
