About the Book
Although formally trained in traditional counselling therapies, April wanted to create another way to manage stress. The Sensory Compounding Workbook teaches you to become more aware and intentional about your senses and to use all five of your senses together to create inner calm and peace, anywhere and anytime. April had observed that so much of therapy is “in the head,” processing thinking and feelings, but so much of life experience is stored in the physical body. It manifests as stress, tightness, agitation, etc and she saw it in her clients. The “head” types of therapies did not seem as effective in helping clients learn what was happening in their bodies, let alone do something about it. This eureka moment developed into Sensory Compounding, which is what you will learn about in this workbook.
