About the Book

This book isn’t meant to be a significant piece of research. It isn’t meant to be a marvel of wordsmithery. It is meant to be a conversation starter. It is light, sometimes humorous, and sometimes poignant and piercing. There should be some take home for both sides of the aisle in here, employees and employers alike. Hopefully, this book ignites some dialogue that will help employees understand the psychology and personae of those who sign their paychecks.

About the Author

Jeffrey Bogan was born and raised in a small Central Illinois town. His father was a business owner. His grandfather was a business owner. His father-in-law was a business owner. He worked for a bank in Florida right out of college and moved back to his beloved Midwest after a couple years. He found employment with a dynamic entrepreneur in the automotive parts, manufacturing, and entertainment business. His life has never been the same. Bogan attained a series of assignments with a variety of great entrepreneurial minds over a twenty-five year period. During this time the region gained a strong reputation for growing very successful entrepreneurs. Bogan observed and interacted with these dynamos in complete fascination. He later ran for mayor on a business platform and won. As the former mayor of one of the few shining spots in an economically dismal state, Bogan knows why his town and its entrepreneurs are so special. And he wants to tell you. In a style that falls somewhere between Mark Twain and Hunter S. Thompson.
