About the Book

Encouraging and facilitating ways to deepen play into your everyday, our favourite flow friends take you on an adventure to bring magic play into your day. Simple reminders throughout the day can assist young people to build essential skills in wellbeing and brain health. Through play and expression, children can naturally self-regulate. Self-regulation is key in finding ‘a sense of centre’ and is essential in experiencing everyday wellbeing. Through weaving narrative and colour The Way of Play invites children (big and small) to consider ways play connects mindfulness and wellbeing into the day to day. In a world of excessive sensory exposure our bodies can tense up, our breathing can change and this effects how we experience the world around us. Children can lead us back to vibrant wellbeing if we allow them to lead through play. The Way of Play inspires children to keep the magic alive.

About the Author

Chelsea Baker (aka Muma SoulShine) is an infectiously optimistic play advocate, mother of two wise souls and social entrepreneur. Chelsea co-founded bodybrainlearning.com.au, a wellbeing program for schools that shares ways to activate brain health through imagination and play. Hula hoops and face painting make her happy. Sarah Ripper plays across the fields of arts, education, consciousness and new era business. She delights in stories, projects, places, and possibilities that nurture joy and expansion. She’s embracing the growth journey of life and loves to explore & experience the threads of connection that unite all of life. She never turns down a cup of tea and delights in dress-up parties. Jade Burdon is an imaginative visual storyteller who finds passion and inspiration through her artwork. She strongly believes that it is important to retain an explorative imagination and curious sense of fun in order to thrive as an individual. Jade finds comfort in the colour pink and is always playing with some sort of craft project.
