Live your Light

The bold mission statement I declared for myself as a child was ‘I want to save the world.’ That’s a heavy load for anyone to carry, and I felt like many of my emotional lows were a result of not knowing how to fulfill my Soul Mission and not knowing what I could truly do to make a lasting difference on this beautiful planet. You see, our body is a great indicator of what is going on for us internally and what our Soul is calling for us to do. Many of us have heard the calls, seen the red flags that our body waves and yet we decide that we, in our logical thinking, know best. By not heeding the clues of what our Soul deeply yearns for we neglect our truth, we say no to the Divine, “I can do it better.” For many of us awakening to our truth and remembering our Divine Heritage you may be really feeling this in your life right now. You may feel tired, no matter how much rest you get, you may feel ill too often, and you may even have this sense of ‘lostness.’ These were all symptoms I acquired while I was working for a prestigious marketing firm in Toronto. I had been promoted from a Brand Ambassador to a Program Coordinator, working with big name clients to promote new products to the consumer market. I had thought I made it! I bought a new car, I was making great money and I had this ‘dream’ job. The problem was that it wasn’t my dream. I bought into this standardized formula that concluded me a successful adult. Yet I wasn’t aligned with what I was marketing to the public, I didn’t feel like I was contributing to anything that benefited the greater good. I too had just found my spot on the converter belt and gave up my power and control in my life to what I believed I was `supposed` to do.
