I told Mommy several times, I can't stand the way Daddy touches me. I know she saw him do it. She turns to ice and says, "Don't talk about your father that way," or "He wouldn't do that," or "You were asking for it." Her answers make me feel like I'm nuts. Sometimes Daddy tells Mommy, "You don't pay any attention to her." Mommy insists, "I do pay attention to her. You're not around here enough to see it. I say to myself, "Mommy tells me not to lie, but she does it." When they talk about me, why do they call me "her," instead of my name?
