Mental illness has not discriminated. Mental illness doesn’t care how smart or intelligent you are. Mental illness doesn’t care how strong or brawny you are. Mental illness doesn’t care how handsome or pretty you are. Mental illness doesn’t care how successful or prosperous you are. Mental illness just doesn’t care! Many theories are floating around out there, but nobody really knows for certain how people become mentally ill. Heredity or alcohol and drug induced or traumatized by tragedies. Perhaps some of these combined together are accurate, but there is inadequate evidence for it to be substantiated. Maybe none of them are. Either way, some people who are mentally ill didn’t have any of those things occur to them. Despite how many people develop a mental illness, most people don’t know too much about it. Nor do they care to. Unfortunately, the mentally ill are considered the dregs of society, inferior creatures, pathetic vermin, etc. Erroneously, the mentally ill are stereotyped and stigmatized. Notoriously derogatory labels such as crazy, dumb, stupid, and retarded, have spread abroad. Generally, people are not concerned about a subject that appears to be irrelevant, until it affects them directly. Dangerous prescriptions are forced down patients’ throats with a litany of serious side effects. Experimenting on these mental patients like guinea pigs with machinations is a scandalously lucrative occupation.
