When you get the question from a young child, 'Grandma, do you believe in God?' (Poem 3) you better have the answer ready, and when asked to define your 'happiness,' you can say, 'I have a plastic rocket in my pocket/ sticky tape across my glasses/ a giant bee to share my tea/ a five year old at my knee./ what am I?...So very lucky!' (Poem 2) And then there are the wonders of the beach, the bush, God and the Universe.

About the Author
Kris Jepsen was born and christened in Denmark. At age twenty-five, she traveled to Sydney, Australia, on the migrant ship, Orcades. She earned a degree in English and Sociology at the University of New South Wales. Now widowed, she enjoys spending time with her two grown children and five grandchildren. Kris is currently writing a collection of short stories. God Is in My Sandbox is her first book.
